FAQ
What is a unit price?
The price converted to a common basis — per 100g, per litre or per item. Australian supermarkets are required to show unit prices on shelf labels; it is the only fair way to compare different pack sizes.
Is the bigger pack always cheaper?
No. On promotion, the smaller pack's unit price often beats the bulk pack — which is exactly why you calculate instead of guessing.
